Inspired by Sarah - Paperartsy 3UP

Hi,

I was inspired by Sarah's use of crackle glaze and the colour panels that she put underneath - I had only used one colour at a time before, but liked the effect of the different.

You can see her post here.

I used some hearts that have been laying around for a while,

I started of painting my blocks of colour
I actually like the one on the right before I put the second colour of paint over.
A closer look at the cracks, you can see the different colours underneath but again the light is not very good.

I wish you all a Happy New Year and I hope to be back to share more often with you in 2015.

Inspired by Julie Ann - PA 3UP post

Hi,

Back again as promised, this time inspired by Julie Ann's use of shrink plastic. I haven't used this for while and took me a little time to try and find where I had carefully put it away in my craft room.

Again I won't go into details of what I have done as you can find all that over at the Paperartsy blog.

I decided to make some shrink plastic hearts and stamp them with Darcy stamps. Painted with Claret fresco paint.

Sorry for the poor quality of pictures, very bad light here today.

Thanks for looking

Inspired by Lucy - Paperartsy 3UP challenge

Hi,

I am still alive, but life seems to have got in the way of blogging.

Over the last week we have been treated to some fantastic projects from fans of the Paperartsy products on their blog. I have managed to get some time in my craft room to try out some of the techniques on show.

The first that I am going to show was inspired by Lucy who showed a technique using Stampboard and Portfolios. I won't show the technique as you can go over and see the post here.

I decided to give this try as I haven't used my Stampboard for ages and I have never used the Portfolios that I have had sitting around for quite a while.

I made a keyring using a JoFY mini stamp and I painted the back with Fresco paints and an Ellen Vargo stamp.

I also made another piece using a Darcy stamp. I am not sure yet what I am going to do with this yet so have not yet done anything with the back.

Hopefully will be back soon

Masterboard Xmas cards

Hi,

Sorry for not blogging for so long :(.

I was inspired by a fellow PA twit Helen xmas cards that she made a couple of weeks ago with a masterboard which you can see here. I did make a few that were very simlar to Helen's but I also made a couple of different designs and colour ways. They were all using PA paints and stamps.

Sorry for the colours in the pictures but I couldn't get any better pictures due to the bad light.

These were using JoFy Stamps & Tim holtz stencils
These ones were using the new season paints, Lin Brown & JoFy stamps, and Tim Holtz Stencils.

Have now made all my Christmas Card (I hope) and will share the other designs this week.

Thanks for looking

WOYWW 276

This is my first time joining in WOYWW, but have always enjoyed reading through the blogs. I am showing you today pictures of my new craft room. I am still trying to sort out where I am going to put everything, think I need to buy some more storage.

Above and to the right are my workbenches for
crafting and my sewing machine. It already looks messey and I haven't even done any crafting.

This is one of the bookcases that I am filling with stamps & inks. I still have lots of stamps to put out so that is why I need more storage.

To the left is my collection of Fresco paints from Paper Artsy.

This workbench is my cutting/ die cutting station and is at a height at which I can stand at.

I am going to stop off at Ikea on the way home from Ally Pally on Saturday to buy some more bookcases.

Thanks for visiting

New craft space

Hi,

I haven't posted anything for an age, sorry. We moved in April and all my craft stuff has been packed up since before then :(.

I have a nice new workshop in the garden, which we have had to take the floor up and replace due to damp. This has meant delays in seting up my new space. Well we are nearly there so I thought I would show some photos.
One of my cats, Mille decided to have a look at why I was so excited.
New storage units - Think I may need to get some more.
The last is photo shows most of my craft stuff that needs to be unpacked. This week the worktops are going to be built, so I should be up & running soon, and hopefully have something to share with you all.

Inspired by Ellen - Paperartsy

Hi,

This week over on the Paperartsy blog, Ellen has been giving inspiration using her own stamps. Unfortunatley I have not yet received the sets that I have ordered (should be Thursday), so I have had to improvise.

I started by creating a background using the new JoFY paints and the brayer techinque that Ellen used.

I then cut into four pieces. I liked this way of making backgrounds and can see myself using this again and again.

For the first two cards I used two different Lin Brown stamps. One
directly on to the background and the other onto blackcard using the die that goes with the stamp. I have only put the sentiment on one card as I am still deciding on what to use the other on for.

The other two backgrounds I have used the new stencils over the top one a Lin Brown & the other a JoFY. One I have left at this stage as I am not sure what to do with it. The other I have used a new JoFY stamp set to stamp ou some flowers.

Really enjoyed making these, and can't wait to get my Ellen stamps to have another go.

I have entered this project into Country view crafts Feb challenge which you can see here.

Paperartsy inspired post

Hi,

A last minute inspired entry into the paperartsy competion. It was inspired by a post that Leandra posted a video for last week. I am not entirly please with my project so may go back and change it.I wanted to make a heart but I couldn't find any in my stash, so used a mirror that I picked up for 50p instead.
